Course Description:

This course provides a solid introduction to structural analysis and design using CSI ETABS, one of the leading software tools in the industry for building analysis. Designed for beginners, it focuses on understanding the workflow of modeling, analyzing, and designing structural systems within ETABS.

Participants will learn how to define materials and sections, model structural components such as beams, columns, slabs, and shear walls, apply loads, and interpret analysis results. The course emphasizes practical examples to help learners gain hands-on experience with real-world structural systems.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to build complete structural models and perform basic analysis and design of reinforced concrete buildings.

Key Topics:

  • Introduction to ETABS interface and workflow
  • Defining grid, materials, and cross-sections
  • Modeling structural elements: columns, beams, slabs, and shear walls
  • Load definitions and combinations
  • Structural analysis and interpretation of results
  • Basic RC design and code checks

Who Should Enroll:

  • Civil and Structural Engineers
  • Engineering Students
  • Professionals aiming to strengthen their analysis and design skills

Prerequisites:

Intermediate knowledge of structural analysis and design concepts is recommended. No prior experience with ETABS is required.
